About the event

Join us for this educational 4-week series and learn the valuable skill of mindfulness meditation, enhance your awareness of everyday experiences, and learn more effective ways of coping with challenging aspects of life such as physical pain, grief, anxiety and anger. The practice of mindfulness meditation has been shown to exert a powerful influence on one’s health and well-being. Each week will build on the previous and guidance will be provided to develop your own at home practice. Make a commitment to yourself, learn and engage in regular practice, and watch what happens as you begin to live life more fully, moment to moment.  No previous meditation experience necessary and this class is appropriate for beginners as well as those wanting to enhance a current meditation practice. Those who complete the series will have the option to join regular, donation-based drop in classes held at the center. Participants must be 18 or over to attend.

Please wear comfortable clothing. Some weeks you may need a yoga mat, small pillow and blanket. There are extras available if needed. Sign up is required and limit of 15 participants.
