About the event

  What if we could learn to be in awareness, meet ourselves where we are in life and engage in practices that bring a different energy to our daily efforts? Please join me for this  2-hour experiential workshop where we will explore the Why of Mindfulness and begin to cultivate skills and learn powerful tools to change the way you experience yourself and the world. Adapted from the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program of University of Massachusetts, the benefits of these evidenced based practices include improved sleep, reduction in chronic pain, decreased stress reactivity and an increased sense of well-being. You will learn to begin to build a tool box of  Mindfulness-Based practices for use in your day to day life! Bring a small journal or paper and pen. No experience necessary! All are welcome!

 Cost: $35.00 

 Following this introductory class, you can attend any of our donation based classes at the center.  This also gives you an opportunity to be part of a growing meditation community with online private group support and meditation class offerings (morning and evening open meditation times) to continue the cultivation of mindful living.
